This License explains how generated content from PatentDrawing may be used at patentdrawing.app.

Introduction

PatentDrawing is an AI-powered tool for creating patent line art, perspective and multi-view illustrations, flowcharts, and block diagrams. Generated outputs are PNG images. This License applies to your use of generated outputs, uploaded materials, prompts, and related content created or processed through PatentDrawing.

By using PatentDrawing, you agree to this License in addition to our other published policies.

1. Ownership of User-Generated Content

As between you and PatentDrawing, you retain ownership of the prompts, uploads, and generated images you create using the service, to the extent permitted by law and subject to any third-party rights in materials you provide.

PatentDrawing and its licensors retain their respective rights in the platform, software, branding, models, and service infrastructure. You grant PatentDrawing a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, store, and transmit your content only as needed to provide and secure the service, including processing by service providers on our behalf. This license does not authorize public marketing use or model training. Public use of your content for promotion requires your separate permission. Retention and deletion are described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Commercial Use of Generated Images

If you are on a paid plan, you may use generated images for commercial purposes, including invention disclosures, product briefs, client work, patent drawing preparation, technical documentation, presentations, and internal business use, provided your use complies with applicable law, this License, and any third-party rights.

You are responsible for reviewing generated content before publication or distribution, especially where accuracy, permissions, or legal compliance matter.

3. Free Plan Limitations

Images generated on a free plan may include a watermark and are licensed for personal, evaluation, and other non-commercial uses only.

Free plan outputs may not be resold, redistributed as paid deliverables, or used in commercial campaigns, products, or client-facing materials unless you upgrade to a paid plan or receive written permission from PatentDrawing.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Outputs from PatentDrawing are generated by artificial intelligence and may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, or similar to content created for other users. We do not guarantee originality, exclusivity, factual correctness, or fitness for any particular purpose.

You are solely responsible for checking whether generated content is appropriate for your intended use, including professional review where needed.

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use PatentDrawing or any generated output to create, distribute, or support content that is illegal, harmful, deceptive, infringing, defamatory, exploitative, or otherwise prohibited by our policies.

This includes using the service to create misleading technical claims or fabricated endorsements, impersonate real people or institutions, violate privacy rights, spread malware, facilitate fraud, or produce content that could reasonably cause harm.

6. Patent Drawing and Filing Review

PatentDrawing helps illustrate inventions; it does not provide patent prosecution, patentability opinions, legal advice, or a filing-compliance certification. A generated illustration does not establish ownership of an invention, novelty, validity, or freedom to operate.

Before using an image in application materials, check geometry, required views, reference numerals, labels, line quality, and sheet layout against the invention and the rules of the relevant patent office. The current PNG workflow does not provide editable SVG paths, PDF drawing-sheet layout, or native CAD models. A qualified drawing specialist or patent professional may need to revise the output.

7. Suspension or Termination

We may remove content, suspend access, or terminate accounts that violate this License, our Terms of Service, or our Content Policy. If your account is terminated for a policy violation, your right to use affected outputs may also be limited to the extent permitted by law.

8. Changes to This License

We may update this License from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date on this page. Continued use of PatentDrawing after an update means you accept the revised License.
